New division director in the Financial Regulation and International Cooperation Department

David Vyhnálek will become Director of the Financial Market Regulation Division III in the Financial Regulation and International Cooperation Department. The Bank Board made this decision at its meeting on 28 March 2024. The change will take effect on 1 April 2024.

David Vyhnálek received a master’s degree in law from Charles University in Prague in 2005. After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer at the Czech Insurers’ Bureau until 2008. He then worked briefly in Management a finance, a.s. as a specialist in the management and settlement of claims. He has been working as principal lawyer for consumer protection at the Czech National Bank since July 2008. From 2013, he headed the unit responsible for legal support and on-site inspections. Since 2016, he has been at the helm of the consumer protection unit. He has also held the post of Deputy Director of the Financial Market Regulation Division III since 2020. He is also a member of the Energy Regulatory Office’s appeals committee for consumer protection.
