Statistics on pension funds

Harmonised statistics on pension funds provide a comprehensive statistical overview of the developments in the pension funds sector over the period under review.

The balance sheet is presented using the basic breakdown by item, listing relationships vis-à-vis domestic residents and non-residents, or using the breakdown by the issuer sector of debt securities.

Breakdown of balance sheet items:

• by category of instruments
• by the issuer sector of debt securities
• by country of origin of the counterparty
