Turnovers on the money market in the week of 20–24 April 2026

The survey on the daily average turnovers on the money market is carried out by the Czech National Bank regularly four times a year – always in January, April, July and October.

Compared to the results of the January survey, the average daily turnover of deposit operations increased from CZK 37.4 bln. to CZK 45.9 bln. which was caused by an increase in volumes with non-residents. Their share on the total volume rose from 90 to 95,5 percent. In terms of maturity, the most significant were those from 1W to 1M and their percent share reached 55,8 percent. There was a decrease in the volume of repo operations (by 9,5 percent) compared to the previous period and their share on the total reached 50 percent.

The turnover of both derivative transactions IRS (Interest Rate Swap) and FRAs (Forward Rate Agreements) increased (by 28 resp. 198 percent) compared to January data. Derivative trades were realized only with non-residents.
