New Executive Director of the CNB General Secretariat
On 1 October 2015, Jana Báčová, Executive Director of the CNB Cash and Payment Systems Department, will become the new Executive Director of the CNB General Secretariat. The Bank Board took this decision at its meeting on 3 September 2015. The current Executive Director of the General Secretariat, Marek Petruš, has decided to leave for the private sector after more than six years at the CNB and has resigned from his position as of 30 September 2015.
“Marek did a great job at the Czech National Bank and we wish him continued success,” said CNB Governor Miroslav Singer.
As Executive Director of the CNB General Secretariat, Jana Báčová will coordinate the secretariat and protocol of the Bank Board, the central bank’s overall external and internal communications, legal services and relations with the European Union and international organisations.
Jana Báčová, CIA (53) graduated in finance and credit from the University of Economics in Prague. After completing her studies she worked in the private sector. She came to the CNB in 1992. At first she worked in banking supervision. From 2002 she was Executive Director of the Internal Audit Department and since August 2012 she has held the post of Executive Director of the Cash and Payment Systems Department. Ms Báčová speaks English, Russian and some French.
Mr Josef Ducháček, the current Deputy Executive Director, has been put in charge of the Cash and Payment Systems Department.
