The CNB comments on the February 2002 inflation figures
8.3.2002
The consumer price developments in February were consistent with the usual seasonality recorded
in the three previous years. The price changes continue to reflect the low-inflation trend, with no
major risk of a pick-up in inflation. The fall in the traditionally volatile food prices corrected
the previous rise in January. The February figures were in line with the CNB?s forecast and provide
no grounds for changing that forecast.
