Turnovers on the money market in the week of 18–23 January 2026
The survey on the daily average turnovers on the money market is carried out by the Czech National Bank regularly four times a year – always in January, April, July and October.
Compared to the results of the October survey, the average daily turnover of deposit operations decreased from CZK 64.3 bln. to CZK 37.4 bln. which was caused by a significant decrease of turnovers with non-residents. Their share on the total volume dropped from 97 to 90 percent. In terms of maturity, the most significant were those with the O/N maturity and their percent share reached 52 percent. The volume of repo operations increased (by 19 percent) and their share on the total reached 58 percent.
The turnover of both derivative transactions IRS (Interest Rate Swap) and FRAs (Forward Rate Agreements) decreased (by 8 resp. 41 percent) compared to October data. FRAs were realized only with non-residents.
