Alessandro Chiari

Biography
Alessandro Chiari is a Senior Researcher at the Czech National Bank, where he works on financial stability, fiscal and monetary policy analysis, and macro-financial risk assessment. He joined the Bank in 2025 after a PhD traineeship in Banking Supervision at the European Central Bank, where he worked on stress testing and credit risk supervision.
He completed in 2026 a PhD in Economics at Charles University with a thesis focused on corporate taxation, banking behaviour and financial stability. During his doctoral studies, he undertook research visits at the University of Copenhagen, Universidad Católica de Chile, Australian National University and Columbia University in New York, and completed executive education in Applied Machine Learning at Columbia University.
