The CNB issues a silver commemorative coin to mark the 200th anniversary of the battle of Austerlitz

On 16 November 2005, the Czech National Bank will put into circulation a commemorative silver coin to mark the 200th anniversary of the battle of Austerlitz. The diameter of the coin is 31 mm and its weight is 13 g. It is issued both in normal quality and proof quality, with a polished field and a matt relief. The obverse side contains the name of the state, the denomination, the heraldic animals from the state emblem of the Czech Republic in shields, the Austerlitz Peace Memorial and the mint mark. On the reverse side there are the coats of arms of the three Emperors who took part in the battle, an inscription related to the topic, the years 1805-2005 and the mark of the designer, sculptor Zbyněk Fojtů. The coin, whose detailed description including its pictures is published on the Czech National Bank's website, was minted by Česká mincovna at Jablonec nad Nisou.
