Aleš Michl: New Rushin economic activity index
Bank Board member Aleš Michl introduced the new Rushin index measuring economic activity in the Czech Republic on the basis of high-frequency data, in particular on electricity consumption. The index was constructed by Aleš Michl, Tomáš Adam, Eva Slezáková and Ondřej Michálek. The index, which is so far signalling a slight quarter-on-quarter decrease in GDP, was also the topic of his interview for Bloomberg.
