Notes on gold coins issued by the Czech National Bank since 1993

1. BČM = Bižuterie Česká Mincovna, a.s, Jablonec nad Nisou; in 1995, during the first mintage, the mint still had the name Bižuterie, a.s. Jablonec nad Nisou. On coins of this mintage, the earlier symbol of the mint (a stylised "b" with a crown) was used, and is still used for coins in circulation; for all subsequent years, precious metal coins bear the new symbol "ČM".

2. The 1998 mintage was issued as a jubilee set i.e. the coins were marked with the years "1348" and "1998"; in 1999, they were marked only with the year of mintage. On the 2,500 Kč denomination there were consequently small differences on the face side - the stylised lily which in 1998 separated the jubilee years was shortened, and the year of mintage located below it in 1999 was edged with a small ornamentation.

3. In both years of mintage, the 5,000 Kč coins were marked on the edge with the inscription "ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * 15,553 g *".

4. In both years of mintage, the 10,000 Kč coins were marked on the edge with the inscription "ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * 31,107 g *".
