The CNB Governor Josef Tošovský has decided to withdraw his candidature for the post of Vice Governor of the EBRD
The CNB Governor Josef Tošovský has decided to withdraw his candidature for the post of Vice Governor of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He has decided to do so because of the excessively long, five-month period during which the EBRD has failed to make a decision and the non-existence of a specific date by which this decision might be made. With his decision Governor Tošovský wants to avoid any possible destabilisation of the CNB ensuing from this situation.
