Petr Staněk to head the CNB’s Statistics and Data Support Department
Petr Staněk, current Deputy Executive Director of the Statistics and Data Support Department, will become the new Executive Director of the Department on 1 January 2021. He will take over this position, to which he was appointed by the Bank Board, from Vlastimil Vojáček, who has decided to retire after more than 20 years with the CNB.
Ivan Matalík, current Director of the Supervisory Statistics Division, will become the new Deputy Executive Director of the Statistics and Data Support Department also on 1 January 2021. Iva Frýdlová has been appointed Director of the Supervisory Statistics Division as from the same date.
Petr Staněk (1967) graduated from the Faculty of Economics at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. In 2006–2015, he held the position of Deputy Executive Director of the Capital Market Regulation Department, which was renamed the Financial Market Regulation and International Cooperation Department in 2008. On 1 April 2015, he became Deputy Executive Director of the Statistics and Data Support Department.
Ivan Matalík (1962) joined the Czech National Bank, or rather its predecessor the State Bank of Czechoslovakia, in 1990. He became Director of the Supervisory Statistics Division in January 2018.
Iva Frýdlová (1979) joined the CNB in 2006. In 2015 she became the head of the Capital Markets Unit in the Supervisory Statistics Division of the Statistics and Data Support Department.
