Personnel changes in the CNB’s Cash and Payments Department
At its meeting on 30 September 2026, the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank (CNB) appointed Denisa Jindřichová Deputy Executive Director of the Cash and Payments Department in charge of the Cash Circulation and Payment Media Protection Division, effective from 1 October 2026. At the same time, it decided to open a selection procedure for the position of Executive Director of the Cash and Payments Department.
Denisa Jindřichová replaced Jan Mayer, who stepped down from his managerial position and left the CNB as of 30 September 2026. Jan Mayer headed the Cash Circulation and Payment Media Protection Division from 2021 and served as Deputy Executive Director of the department from April 2024. Ladislav Kročák, Executive Director of the Cash and Payments Department, will leave his managerial position at the turn of 2026 and 2027 at his own request in connection with his retirement.
Denisa Jindřichová graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, where she subsequently completed her doctoral studies and obtained a PhD. She worked in the Cash and Payments Department from 2003 to 2015, where she served as principal specialist for payment services methodology. She subsequently worked in the Financial Regulation and International Cooperation Department as a principal lawyer and later in the Licensing and Enforcement Department as principal lawyer for administrative proceedings. She has headed the Licensing Proceedings Unit in the Financial Market Supervision Department since October 2023. She was responsible in particular for licensing proceedings concerning credit institutions, including notifications involving banks and insurance companies. She lectures at the Faculty of Law of Charles University and at the University of Finance and Administration.
