New executive director of the CNB Cash and Payment Systems Department

Jan Pilbauer has been appointed Executive Director of the CNB Cash and Payment Systems Department with effect from 9 December 2011. His appointment to this managerial position was approved by the CNB Bank Board.

Jan Pilbauer (28) graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové. He joined the CNB in 2004, working initially as an assistant to a Bank Board member. In 2005 he became Director of the System Support Division and latterly he was Deputy Executive Director of the CNB Information Systems Department. In 2009–2011 he was a deputy department director at the Bank of Canada.

Jan Pilbauer replaces Tomáš Hládek, who was dismissed from the position of executive director of the Cash and Payment Systems Department on 3 November 2011.
