New Executive Director of the CNB’s Financial Market Regulation and International Cooperation Department
Vojtěch Belling, the current Director of the EU and International Organisations Division, will become the new Executive Director of the CNB’s Financial Market Regulation and International Cooperation Department with effect from 1 July 2018. The Bank Board decided on his appointment at its meeting on 7 June 2018. The current Executive Director of the Financial Market Regulation and International Cooperation Department decided to retire following more than twelve years of work at the CNB.
Vojtěch Belling (37) graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Law at Charles University, Prague. He received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and in 2016 qualified as an associate professor at the Masaryk University in Brno. He lectured at the Faculty of Law of Charles University and Ruperto Carola University in Heidelberg, among others.
From 2002 he worked as a civil servant at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, and at the Office of the Government, where he held the post of State Secretary for European Affairs for three years before joining the CNB in 2014. Since January 2017, Vojtěch Belling has also been Deputy Executive Director of the Financial Market Regulation and International Cooperation Department.
