Decision on the appointment of the new CNB Spokesperson

At its meeting today the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank decided on the basis of a selection procedure to appoint Ms Pavlína Bolfová to the post of Director of the Communications Division and CNB Spokesperson. She will take up the post on 1 February 2004.

Pavlína Bolfová (30) graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Ostrava (VŠB-TU). From March 2000 to September 2003 she worked as Public Relations Manager and Spokesperson for the government agency CzechInvest, where she was responsible for implementing the agency's communications strategy in the Czech Republic and abroad. Pavlína Bolfová is single, speaks English, German and Russian and her hobbies include the study of psychology, travelling and skiing.
