Czech Money app for Windows 8 tablets

The Czech Money app is now available to users of Windows 8 tablets. The app, which can be downloaded for free from the Windows Store, allows users to view Czech banknotes and coins and their protective elements as well as the exchange rates declared by the Czech National Bank. It also features a handy calculator. The Windows 8 version was launched at the CNB Open Day on 8 June 2013.

The Czech Money app is already available for iOS and Android devices. The Windows 8 version is the first to feature the exchange rates declared by the Czech National Bank every working day and a handy exchange rate calculator.

The Czech Money app for Windows 8 tablets will be appreciated by anyone who wants a quick and handy guide to identifying genuine and valid Czech money and access to the latest exchange rates of the koruna against 30 world currencies. The application can thus also be used by tourists travelling to the Czech Republic. It is available in Czech and English.

The Czech Money app offers, among other things, an overview and description of the protective elements of banknotes, including a demonstration of elements visible only under UV light, against normal light and when tilted against the light. The app was developed for the Czech National Bank by Zentity in cooperation with Microsoft.

The Czech Money app has been available for iOS devices since 2012 and for Android devices since 2013. Immediately after its official launch, the app became the most downloaded Czech app in the Finance category in Appstore. It was declared second best app of the year in the Golden Semicolon competition in 2013. It has been downloaded by more than 14,000 mobile device users since 2012.
