Changes to the CNB website in January 2003
As you will have no doubt noticed, the design and structure of the CNB website has been changed. Although not dramatic, this change is by no means an end in itself. The new design will allow us (and, through the use of your feedback, you too) to gradually adjust the structure and content to the growing requirements of CNB website users. We trust that this change will not cause you any problems but, on the contrary, will enable you to find your way more quickly and easily around the site.
On the home page you will find three windows providing shortcuts to specific areas of the website. The content of the navigational windows reflects the current most frequently asked questions of user groups and will be tailored to their requirements on an ongoing basis.
The main contents menu on the left-hand side remains approximately the same as before. A service menu has been added at the top of the page.
The contents include, among other things, a link to a presentation on the CNB Archive. This allows you to browse through an extensive collection of archive documents of great importance. The CNB Archive is very frequently used by the public. (This presentation available only in Czech).
The "Banking Supervision" section has a new detailed structure.
The Statistics part has also been restructured and now includes statistics harmonised with European Central Bank requirements - see the monetary and banking statistics or the Czech Republic's current account broken down by territory.
A small photogallery has been prepared for journalists.
Also new is a feature on the foreign technical assistance provided by the Czech National Bank.
Other parts of the site will also be gradually restructured.
