CNB tests evacuation procedures during fire drill

At 10.10 a.m. on 4 August 2025, the Czech National Bank carried out a fire drill and evacuation at its headquarters and Prague branch on Na Příkopě Street. The purpose of the exercise was to assess how well CNB employees and clients are prepared for a potential emergency and to test the evacuation procedures. Normal operations resumed at 11.05 a.m.

By conducting the drill, the CNB fulfilled the requirements of the Ministry of the Interior’s decree on fire safety and state fire supervision, which sets out a requirement for evacuation drills to be conducted at least once a year.
