CNB limits services for the public due to coronavirus
The Czech National Bank is closing its cash counters from Tuesday, 17 March until further notice. This is a preventive measure to curb the possible spread of the coronavirus. Cash will be exchangeable only by post via the CNB's headquarters or out-of-Prague offices.
As a result, it will not be possible to obtain compensation for damaged banknotes and coins and to exchange invalid and worn out banknotes and coins through CNB staff in person at the CNB's Prague headquarters or any of its offices in Ústí nad Labem, Plzeň, České Budějovice, Hradec Králové, Brno and Ostrava until further notice.
The CNB's services for its clients, i.e. the persons for whom it maintains accounts, remains unchanged.
