CNB and flood

The CNB headquarters in Prague are fully active. The interbank payment system (clearing) is functioning to the full extent. Yesterday, the turnover of the clearing system was very slightly lower than usual. A total of 703 thous. transactions in the volume of CZK 368 billion were executed. The average daily turnover of the clearing centre is 1 mill. transactions in the volume of CZK 420 billion. The central bank continues to ensure a smooth supply of currency in circulation.

The CNB's branch office in České Budejovice is operating fully again and it has been providing banks with cash according to their requirements since this morning.

The branch office in Usti nad Labem is operating in an emergency regime and its subsequent operation will be determined by the way in which further situation in the town develops.
