Change in post of Director of Financial Market Supervision Department

David Rozumek, Executive Director of the Financial Market Supervision Department, has decided to leave the Czech National Bank as of 12 January 2017. The Bank Board has appointed Zuzana Silberová, Deputy Executive Director of this department, as Acting Executive Director.

CNB Vice-Governor Vladimír Tomšík thanked David Rozumek for his more than ten years of work helping to shape and implement the new long-term strategy for financial market supervision in the Czech Republic. He also highlighted Mr Rozumek’s personal contribution to the successful functioning of financial market supervision during the financial crisis.

Mr Tomšík went on to praise Mr Rozumek for his excellent work representing the Czech National Bank in the European Banking Authority (EBA) and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).

At its meeting on 12 January 2017, the Bank Board appointed Zuzana Silberová, Deputy Executive Director of the Financial Market Supervision Department, as Acting Executive Director of the Financial Market Supervision Department as of 13 January 2017.
