New Deputy Director in the Monetary and Statistics Department

Vlastimil Vojáček will become the new Deputy Director of the Monetary and Statistics Department at the Czech National Bank on 1 January 2015. He will succeed Petr Vojtíšek in this position and will be responsible for coordinating the central bank’s statistical activities. The change in the management of the department was decided by the Bank Board.

Vlastimil Vojáček (61) is currently Director of the Monetary and Financial Statistics Division of the Monetary and Statistics Department. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. He has been working in the field of monetary and banking statistics since joining the CNB in June 1992. He became a division director in the Monetary and Statistics Department in 2000. He is fluent in English.

The current Deputy Director of the Monetary and Statistics Department, Petr Vojtíšek, is retiring on 31 December 2014.
