Introductory visit of Minister of Finance to CNB

All seven members of the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank will attend the Board’s monetary policy meeting on 1 August 2013. The meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the Bank Board members with the new Minister of Finance Jan Fischer and some of his deputies starting at 9 a.m. The aim is for the Bank Board and the new leadership of the Ministry of Finance to get to know each other. The Bank Board’s monetary policy meeting will therefore exceptionally start at 10 a.m.

The Bank Board’s monetary policy decision will be published on Thursday 1 August 2013 at 2 p.m. (instead of 1 p.m. as usual). The regular press conference of the Bank Board on the monetary policy decision and the new CNB macroeconomic forecast will take place at 3.30 p.m. (instead of 2.30 p.m. as usual).
