New Director of the Reserves Management Division

At its meeting on 16 October 2008, the Bank Board decided to appoint Mr Ondřej Strádal as Director of the Reserves Management Division of the CNB’s Financial Markets Department with effect from 20 October. Mr Marek Šesták, who held this post until today, has resigned for personal reasons.

Mr Ondřej Strádal (34) graduated in economics from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University. During his studies he participated in internships in Belgium and Germany. He worked at the CNB as a dealer in 1998–2004 and then for three years as an executive director of Goldman Sachs in London. In April 2007 he re-joined the CNB as chief dealer. Mr Strádal has attended numerous seminars at financial institutions. He speaks English.
