The CNB's position on the candidature of J. Tošovský for IMF Managing Director

At the Government meeting today, CNB Governor Zdeněk Tůma asked for the Government's opinion on the candidature of Josef Tošovský for the post of Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund. The Government stated that the Czech Republic had expressed its support to joint EU candidate Dominique Strauss-Kahn at the Ecofin meeting on 10 July 2007 and this support still holds.
