New organisational structure of CNB financial market supervision approved
At its meeting on 20 June 2007, the Bank Board approved a document called "Proposed Organisational Structure of Financial Market Supervision". The document includes a proposal to create a new organisational structure of supervisory departments in the CNB, replacing the current sectoral model with a functional one, which will take effect on 1 January 2008. Three new departments will be created by the end of the year, namely the Financial Market Supervision Department, the Licensing and Sanction Procedures Department and the Financial Market Regulation and Analyses Department. We will keep the public informed on further progress with these changes.
