Searching for data
Search helps you find a specific indicator or set without browsing the tree manually.

Search is available on the application’s home page and through the search icon in the top menu. Entering a query or opening search takes you to the results page, where you can refine the query using the search mode and result tabs.

What you can search for
You can enter, for example:
- all or part of an indicator’s name,
- a unique indicator code,
- a set name or code.

SMV5M603Search mode
Search supports two modes:
| Mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| All words (AND) | A result must match all the words entered. |
| At least one word (OR) | A result can match any of the words entered. |
All words (AND) is suitable for precise queries. At least one word (OR) is useful for broader searches when you are unsure of the exact name.
Search results
Results are divided into separate tabs:
- In tree – tree branches containing the search term.
- In indicators – individual indicators matching the query.
- In sets – sets matching the query.

Going from search results to an indicator in the tree
Indicators in search results have an icon that takes you directly to the indicator’s location in the tree on the Indicators page.
This is useful when you want to see where an indicator belongs in the database or browse other indicators in the same branch.
