FAQ

This page answers frequently asked questions about using ARAD.

Do I need an ARAD account?

You do not need an account to browse, search, view tables and charts, or export data. An account is required for saved selections and the API.

See Account and sign-in.

How do I find a specific indicator?

Search by name, part of a name or indicator code. To see where the indicator belongs in the database, use the option for going from a search result to an indicator in the tree.

See Searching for data.

How do I display multiple indicators at once?

Select indicators using their checkboxes and add them to the basket. You can display the basket’s contents as a table or chart.

See Working with multiple indicators.

How do I save my own selection?

Save the basket’s contents as your own selection. You must be signed in to your ARAD account.

How do I share a selection with another user?

Share a saved selection using an import code. On some screens, you can share the current page or settings using a URL.

See Sharing data.

How do I export data?

Export tabular data to Excel or CSV. Export a chart as a PNG image.

See How do I export data?.

What is API Builder for?

API Builder helps you create ARAD-REST-API calls directly in the interface. Select a service, configure its parameters, choose an API key and obtain a ready-to-use call.

See API Builder.

Where can I find an indicator’s methodology?

Methodological information is available in the indicator details or on the Indicators tab in the data display window.

See Methodological information.
