How do I get an API key?

An API key authorises calls to ARAD-REST-API services. Sign in to ARAD to work with API keys in the application.

Getting an API key

You can create one or more API keys in your account:

1. Sign in to ARAD.
2. Open the user menu in the top-right corner and choose API Key Management.
3. To create a key, click the Add new plus icon. You can copy an existing key from the list.
4. Describe your reason for using ARAD-REST-API in at least 30 characters.
5. Read the ARAD Data Use Policy and confirm your agreement.
6. Click Generate key.

You can also open key management from API Builder using Manage keys.

Managing keys

Each key is unique and identifies the user making an API call. You can delete a key and create a new one when needed.

Security

Do not share your API key with others or publish it. Do not include it in screenshots, public documents or source code.
