Language and decimal separator

ARAD is available in Czech and English. Switching the language changes the interface, data descriptions and accompanying information.

The language settings also include the decimal separator, which affects both data display and exports.

Language and decimal separator — English interface

Decimal separator

The default separator is the Czech decimal comma, reflecting the system’s primary language.

In the settings in the top right corner of the application, you can choose:

  • decimal comma,
  • decimal point,
  • according to language.

In the English version, choosing the language-based setting automatically uses a decimal point.

Your choice affects how numerical values are displayed in tables and charts.

Behaviour in exports

The separator setting also affects exports, but the behaviour depends on the format.

FormatBehaviour
MS ExcelThe export follows the regional settings of the user’s computer. The ARAD separator setting does not apply.
CSVThe decimal separator follows the current ARAD setting. You can also change it directly in the CSV export dialog.
