CNB Bank Board member Tomas Holub delivered interview for Bloomberg news agency. He said if CNB needed to increase interest rates, it would make more sense to do so in the first half of the year rather than later when we’re uncomfortably close to Brexit again.

The CNB launches webpage for bureau-de-change clients

An amendment to the Act on Bureau-de-Change Activity strengthening the position of consumers takes effect on 1 April 2019. The most visible change is that clients will have the right to cancel a bureau-de-change transaction within three hours of its execution. Bureau-de-change clients will now also be informed on their exchange slip of a CNB webpage on bureaux de change which describes how to withdraw from a bureau-de-change transaction.
