New version of the CNB ARAD system launched

A new version of the CNB ARAD system was launched on 16 January 2023.

The ARAD system is a public database which presents time series of aggregated data for individual statistics and financial market areas. ARAD has been part of the Czech National Bank’s information service since 2002. Most of the available data come from statistical processing conducted directly by the CNB.

In addition to the modernisation of the user interface, the new version provides a completely new dimensional description of the data, which is the basis for many new functions. We therefore recommend that you familiarise yourself with the introduction to the system in the Documentation section. This also contains short video tutorials.

You can start working in the ARAD system by accessing the home page.

The old version of the system will be discontinued on 30 June 2023.

In terms of data content, the two versions are identical as they are based on the same sources. However, new data areas will be added to the new version only, for example, the Monetary Policy Reports section.

We plan to release a data interface (API) based on REST web services and to further develop and extend the Reports section in the next phase.
