For the purposes of monetary statistics, 'collective investment funds" shall mean investment funds and unit trusts pursuant to Act No. 403/2006 Coll. on collective investment, excluding money market funds, which carry on activities pursuant to this Act and are residents in the Czech Republic. The object of business of collective investment funds is collective investment, i.e. collecting financial means through the subscription of shares in an investment fund or unit certificates of a unit trust, investment according to the principle of spreading risks, and further management of these assets.

Collective investment funds given in this list (or investment companies managing these funds' assets) are subject to obligations pursuant to Article 5 of Decree No. 307/2004 Coll. on the submission of information and documents to the Czech National Bank by entities belonging to the financial institutions sector.

MMF - money market funds pursuant to Decree No. 307/2004 Coll., on the submission of information and documents to the Czech National Bank by entities belonging to the financial institutions sector are classified as monetary financial institutions and are included in the List of MFIs .
