Foreign direct investment

Data on FDI flows (preliminary) are published on a quarterly basis in cumulative form at time T+65 (i.e. 65 days after the end of the reference period) at:
http://www.cnb.cz/en/statistics/bop_stat/fdi/index.html

Preliminary data on FDI stocks are published on a quarterly basis at T+90 as part of the international investment position data. This is total FDI in the Czech Republic and domestic investment abroad, broken down into equity capital (including reinvested earnings) and other capital. The data are available under:
http://www.cnb.cz/en/statistics/bop_stat/investment_position/index.html

Final (revised) data on DI flows and stocks are compiled on the basis of data from the annual DI survey carried out 6–9 months after the end of the reference period depending on respondent availability. DI stock data are published in a detailed breakdown by economic activity and territory at:
http://www.cnb.cz/en/statistics/bop_stat/bop_publications/pzi_books/

The deadline for submitting final data on DI stocks and flows under EU statistical reporting is 21 months after the end of the reference period. The CNB publishes such data 6 months in advance, i.e. 15 months after the end of the reference period. For the purposes of rough calculation of preliminary stock data, the sum of the final data for the previous year’s stocks and the current preliminary flow data for the reference year can be used.
