Call for Research Projects 2012

The Economic Research Department (ERD) of the Czech National Bank (CNB) is organising a regular Call for Research Projects 2012. The ERD Director’s invitation letter (pdf, 132 kB) can be downloaded from this website. The letter explains the conditions of the Call and gives a list of priority topics and the contact details of the research coordinators supervising each research area.

Authors are asked to express their interest by sending a summary (containing the title, the names of the research team members and a 100-word abstract) to the following e-mail address: research.call@cnb.cz. The deadline for sending abstracts is 31 May 2011.

Please download the project proposal form, which consists of two parts: a summary form (doc, 107 kB) to be submitted in Word and a research description (doc, 35 kB) to be submitted in Word or PDF format. Instructions on how to prepare the research project proposal are provided on these forms.

The deadline for project submission is:

15 August 2011

Authors are expected to present well-focused, high quality projects covering the 2012 priority topics, which are derived from the research priorities (see CNB Economic Research 2007–2012).

All interested researchers from both within and outside the CNB are invited to participate. Be advised, however, that each research team must consist of at least one expert from the CNB. The expected scope of the Call is 8–12 projects.

Please do not hesitate to contact the research coordinators, who will provide you with further information on how to complete your application effectively in terms of both focusing your research on the priority topics and meeting the formal requirements. An information meeting for prospective authors will be held at 2 p.m. on 24 May 2011 after the CNB Research Open Day in the Czech National Bank’s Commodity Exchange (Plodinová burza) building. Please also be advised that incomplete or late submissions or proposals that do not meet the deadline for sending abstracts (31 May 2011) will not be considered.
