CNB Governor Zdeněk Tůma rejects as untrue a report published in the daily newspaper E15 that he is allegedly going to lead the European Systemic Risk Board as from next year.

“No one has contacted me regarding this matter and I have expressed no interest in any such post. The entire legislation concerning the activities and competences of the European Systemic Risk Board is only now being debated in the European Parliament. Besides, as far as I know the current consensus is that the Board should be headed by the President of the European Central Bank,” said Governor Tůma.
