Simple search
- Enter multiple search words separated by spaces - for example,
"inflationary effect" will return documents containing both the word
"inflationary" and the word
"effect"
- Wildcards
"?" (single character) and
"*" (string of characters) can be used - for example,
"inflatio* ?ffect" will return documents containing, for instance, one of the
words
"inflation",
"inflationary" and
"inflation-growth" as well as one of the words
"effect" and
"affect"
- The
"-" operator can be used - for example,
"inflationary -effect" will return documents which contain the word
"inflationary" but do not contain the word
"effect"
- The logical operators
AND and
OR can be used - for example,
"inflationary OR effect" will return documents which contain either the word
"inflationary" or the word
"effect"
- More complex search phrases can be created using brackets - for example,
"(inflationary OR effect) AND rates"
Extended search
Text field "Title"
- This field is used for searching for documents by title.
- The operators referred to in "Simple search" can be used
Text field "Navigation text"
- This field is used for searching for documents by reference name. The reference name is in most
cases a shortened version of the title (headline), and is used, for example, in the left-hand menu
bar.

Text field "Document name"
- This field is used for searching for documents by the name of the relevant file in which the
content is stored. The document name is in fact the last part of the document's address (URL).
- The operators referred to in "Simple search" can be used
Text fields "Published after" and "Published before"
- These fields are used for determining when a document was published. The date is entered in
DD.MM.YYYY format. As the entire content of this website was transferred to a new editorial system
on 5 October 2005, the searching by date feature can only be used effectively for documents
published after that date; there is no point in entering an earlier date.
