Minted in 1993, 1994 and 1995 at Hamburgische Münze Hamburg and from the second
half of 1993 also at Bižuterie Jablonec, a.s. (which changed its name in October 1995 to Bižuterie
Česká Mincovna, a.s.), and since 1996 only at Jablonec.
Technical parameters - material: 990 parts aluminium and 10 parts magnesium,
nonmagnetic; round - internal part of the border in the shape of a heptagon; weight 0.74 g,
diameter 17 mm, thickness 1.7 mm; milled edge with 90 grooves.
Tolerances: metal composition ą 0.5 %, weight ą 0.1 g, diameter ą 0.1 mm,
thickness ą 0.05 mm.
Designed by Jaroslav Bejvl; obverse side - the Czech lion; reverse side - large
denomination number comprising a stylised tricolour; the figure "0" contains a linden leaf.
Quality - since 1997, proof-quality coins have also been in circulation, minted
exclusively for annual sets.
Under Decree of the Czech National Bank No. 79/2003 Coll., the 1993-version 10-heller and
20-heller coins have ceased to be legal tender on 31 October 2003. Banks rendering cash services
will exchange the coins for a period of one year. Branches of the CNB will exchange them for a
