1994 version

in circulation from 20 April 1994; from 1 January 1996 a version with whiter paper and a shifted windowed thread; printed by STC Praha (State Security Printing Office Prague)
  • the banknote is 128 mm long and 64 mm wide with tolerance ±1.5 mm; the coupon is 30 mm wide; the windowed thread is located 50 mm (74 mm in the former version) from the left margin with tolerance ±6 mm
  • the blind code is in the top right corner and consists of two vertically located rings, 4 mm in diameter
  • printing techniques: the portrait, texts, blind code, the denomination on the coupon - intaglio printing; other - offset printing

Under Decree No. 173/2008 Coll. the 20 CZK banknotes versions 1994 and 1996 ceased to be legal tender on 31 August 2008. Banks rendering cash services exchanged the 20 CZK banknotes from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009 and from 1 September  2009 to 31 August 2014 the banknotes are is exchanged only at CNB branches.
